Mad Hatter takes on THE MAXX (ps, I'm BACK BABAY!)

OOOOK, so I realized that I've taken nearly a half year reprieve from this blog and I have decided that, instead of starting ANOTHER new one, I would come back here to my original block, life through the looking glass, and post my upcoming project HERE:
The Mad Hatter (me) Takes on THE MAXX: a MULTI ANGLE(emphasis on MULTI, because I intend to come at this from EVERY angle I can approach it) review on Sam Keith's 'THE MAXX' both the animated AND the comic series.
Somethings you may not know about me, growing up my TV & reading were fairly limited/sheltered...I DID watch a lot of TV (A LOT OF TV), but between usually not having cable (ie- having the 3-5 stations you could pick up out of the air...thats right, once upon a time you could still get access to a few channels even w/out cable, not anymore) and having religious & VERY controlling parents, I missed out on some pretty culturally significant programs.  For example, the iconic American show 'The Simpsons', FORBIDDEN! I didn't even see the show until I was 20yrs old, all exposure I had to it was secondhand & purely through cultural osmosis due to the fact that it was/is a show that has so permeated our culture that it has seeped into practically everything, and eventually became a parody of itself (something we'll deconstruct at a later date...trust me, as I wasn't exposed to this show growing up, ie-the time during which it was actively being released & designed, I have a VERY unique reaction to it...much of it confuses me frankly, and at a point we get into several full seasons of occasional good quips but mostly severe mediocrity...but like I said, a later date).
I intend to do these reviews in partial text, partial video as I am usually better expressed through my writings.  You can look forward to seeing my support animal Bozzley the weenier dog as my costar in these reviews as he assumes someone else is in the room when i start talking randomly to nothing, so he insists on sitting in my lap, ergo, his presence is inevitable, but that is OK because he adds cute to the review, and everyone could always use a small dose of cute.
so yeah, that covers this reintroduction and new direction in which I intend to take this blog, I hope ya'll enjoy it and stick around.  It may take me a while to get my hands on ALL the maxx comics (the local library only has issues 1-3 & #6) but as the animated series really only covers like the first issue, i don't think it will be too much of an issue starting off (though i do intend to go through the WHOLE series at length).
Authors Notes:
1- in case you are EVER wondering 'is this guy high?', the answer to that is most likely YES.  I live in Oregon where medicinal marijuana is legal and I am a patient of the OMMP, I have not shame in this fact as it is the ONLY medicine that brings relief to my multifacited medical conditions.
2- I am NUTS- in case I ever seem needlessly rambly, like now lol, or i come across as a total nutter, we'll just clear this up right now by saying, i am...i have PTSD as well as other issues, and i spend most of my time at home.  I'm a bit mental but a very likable individual, hopefully you'll like me to (or at least my reviews)
3- I am a night owl- i'm a nocturnal, mostly, individual.  I stay up all night, when the world is quiet and i can be peacefully alone w/my thoughts & art (or not so peacefully some nights as i am, as stated, unstable so not every night is peaceful) and i tend to suffer from insomnia, so if i seem incoherent sometimes, this could be a factor (i will usually mention of it is a factor at play in any given review just as a heads up...just in case i leave you sitting here going 'wtf was that, it made NO SENSE)
4- everything is my opinion- this blog is a compilation of my personal objective opinion of the various things i review...key word here is OPINION, meaning its my view and not necessarily yours...if you disagree w/my view or something i've said that is FINE, you're entitled to your view, please don't flame me in the comments though just because you don't agree w/something, and if i slip up on a factoid, DO NOT berate me, just simply point out my slip up and i'll correct for it.  thank you.
5- lastly, NO, my nickname 'the mad hatter' is NOT a recent development and is NOT a declaration of fandom for Tim Burton's recent rendition, which i confess i STILL have not sat down to watch yet (believe me i'll doubtlessly review it when i do).  I have been mad_hatters_apprentice at yahoo since age 13, and i have been nicknamed 'the mad hatter' or simply 'the hatter' since younger than that.  Its just an association & a nickname that seemed fitting and stuck from a young age.
I will however say this: I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP (who doesn't) and i DID enjoy the photos i've seen of the makeup & costume they created for the live action film.

FWEHHH, all that being said...welcome to the mind of the mad hatter...step through the looking glass & behold what madness lies in wait ;)
